Responsibilities
- Design and execute effective regional sales strategies.
- Lead and develop the sales team to consistently achieve targets.
- Ensure long-term financial sustainability through solid business strategies.
- Manage and coach staff in line with the Performance Management Plan.
- Drive commercial negotiations to secure market share.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and supply chain.
- Foster a high-performance culture that rewards excellence and loyalty.
- Set and monitor annual budgets and sales performance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with key accounts.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities and new customers.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Product teams to ensure brand consistency.
- Ensure alignment of RTM (Route to Market) and distribution models with company goals.
- Monitor regional sales data and competitor activities.
- Manage promotions, pricing, shelf space, and trading terms.
- Uphold compliance with company policies, ethics, and legal standards.
- Champion best practices in sales operations and team leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (HND/BSc) in Business, Marketing, or related field. Postgraduate qualifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in FMCG.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Solid understanding of Northern market dynamics and distribution channels.
